Preparation
Best done calmly, before your guests are in the room.
- Create a free account and get to know the app.Signing up at app.streamlingo.net takes about five minutes. No payment details required.
- Connect your laptop to the sound, either through the venue microphone or your own clip-on mic.The built-in laptop microphone is fine for a first try. You get the best translation quality from an external microphone close to the speaker.
- Start the translation once internet, microphone and audio signal are in place.If something does not work right away, call us on +49 152 53510925. We will walk through it with you.
- Check it yourself: scan the QR code, pick a language and speak into the microphone.That way you hear exactly what your guests will hear later.
- Announce the translation early.Your guests need a smartphone, headphones and internet in the room. Less than 50 kbit/s per listener is enough, so less than a music stream.
Shortly before the event
On the day itself, these two steps are usually all it takes.
- Open Streamlingo, connect the microphone, start the translation.Streamlingo detects the spoken language automatically. Your guests choose for themselves which language they want to hear.
- Show the listener link as a QR code.You are only billed for listeners who are actually tuned in.
